This is one of our hens or we think she is, but the only reason I question her gender is because she is so huge and our rooster never mates with her. :/

Do you know if this is a male or female, and I think "she" is a white Cochin?

Thank you for your help!

Cockerel. Cochins are slow to mature and don't get really huge combs, but you can see the hackle and saddle feathers and what looks like some red leakage on the wings.

Looks like a cockerel, starting to see hackle and saddle feathers. Is it less than 20 weeks?

LOL okay so she is a he.... He lol was hatched in April, so about 8 month now... almost 32 weeks old.

This one doesn't even try to mate with the hens, but seems to shows aggression towards some of them.... Is that because the Maran is the head rooster?

Thank you to everyone for your help with this thread as well! :)

Would he be crowing by now though? He doesn't crow... :/ and at 32 weeks?
Cochins are slow to mature and they're normally quite docile, they don't challenge more dominant roosters often. If your Marans is a more dominant bird, that can inhibit a younger roo from crowing for quite a while. I'd expect him to start in the spring, maybe crowing and trying to mate then.
