To be honest, I incubated eggs from the farmers market and I have no idea what breed they are…one is an obvious mix of black copper maran and came out of a beautiful dark chocolate egg (the black chick). There’s no doubt he is a roo (he practically came out of the egg with pink comb and waddles lol) but the brown one I think is a roo as well …just more mixed breed and a late bloomer. The brown chick came from a cream colored smaller egg and hatched right at day 21. It doesn’t have much pink to the comb except with the light right behind it like in the picture. It has a similar tail structure as the other one and it’s hard to tell but I think the tail feathers look a little pointy. I don’t mind if they are roos I’m happy to have them in the flock.
