I have the girls in what my sister has christened Fort Henny. It is a converted dog pen, but the main barrier around the perimeter is electric fence, which does double duty around my tomato plants. Yesterday as I was getting ready for work I heard the unmistakable bark of a beagle coming from MY yard, by the time I got to my back door, all I heard was YEEEEEEELLLLPPPP, and saw the culprit flying away across my neighbors yard. I could hear his tags jingling, I only hope he remembered where he came from.

The top is covered in a mix of hardware cloth chicken wire and tarps, most everything has a double layer.
Just wanted to share the joys of an attack foiled.
They still get shut firmly in their coop at night, but I am feeling almost* safe.
I think I will be entering the new coop contest, the one they are in now had to undergo some unexpected renovations. I neglected to take in to account the door to this pen is only 24 inches, and the gate swings into the pen instead of going flush against the wall. It is still sturdy, but I am going to actually build (or redo this one) inside the pen. THIS should be fun.
