I think we have a rooster

Hello, we inherited two "hens" a few months back and fell in love, but now are thinking one is a rooster. Roosters are illegal in our city so we would have to re-home him, which is so sad because my children are so attached. Not to mention the two chickens are inseparable. Thanks for your input. They are just about 5 months old btw.

So sorry. I have also found out one of my 5 pullets is a rooster from the helpful people on this site. Now I'm just hoping my other 4 are pullets.

Ugh, I knew it, but still so sad. Thank you for confirming, now trying to figure out how to re-home him? Also, once he goes should I get another hen right away?
