He is a pretty rooster. I don't know much about the blue egg gene. But correct me if I am wrong, Jake could still make some nice blue or oliver egger pullets some day. And it he is non human aggressive and is getting along with your other rooster, then it's always nice to have a back up rooster. Also an excuse to get more hens for him or even a second hen house of his own.

I have a hen that hatched two eggs this week. I'm hoping one of them was his but I doubt it. Poor thing if he got on a hen the big rooster or even another hen would run him off. It got to the point where they wouldn't squat for him so he would aggressively bite their necks and hold on while they tried to get away. See video

My plan is to build another coop just for him and a few hens. I would really like to get an amerauca hen (they were selling them all over here in the spring) so he can mate with her.
 
Lol, that is funny. Oldchick could Jake produce hens with that blue coloring because they would be some beautiful EE's ?
