I thought I bought Barred Rocks,but they are still black.

It's been a long time since I had a flock of chickens and the Barred Rocks were my favorites. I bought two each of Barred Rocks, Silver Laced Wyandotts and 4 EE. The black chicks looked like Barred Rocks, but at two weeks their legs are black and no white barring. In the picture that is the feather just coming in, not white. So are they Barred Rocks?

The chick in the pic doesn't really look like a barred rock to me, I am not a BR specialist but I have had a few so this is just based off of my experiences until now.

Reasons:
I see no white on the chick at all
The legs are very dark looking (even very dark colored pullets/hens still have yellow on their legs)

I would question the person/place you received them from to double check what stock they actually have. If nothing else it will give you somewhere to start.

Yes, I had the feeling that he got me two black sex links instead. I never heard of them before. These two chicks are smaller than the EE chicks and docile. Darn it, guess I will call the feed store to see if they still have the BR. Thank you for the help! I love this website!

Don't worry - black sex links are half barred rock (the mom). I hear they have WONDERFUL personalities!

Definetly not a Barred Rock
I grew some up for myself and they shoul've had white feathers by now.
Pretty sure its a black sex link too.
