I thought

this was a roo..... then I saw a pic of a leghorn roo at ten weeks whick looked MUCH more roo-like.

Then someone said it was a roo! It did not come from the same flock as the polish, It came from a 4-H project. The others looked like leghorns and RIRs.

This - whatever it is - is 11 weeks old today!

What IS it?

On the other thread it was suggested that he is not a leghorn.... Now I am confused! What would a leghorn pullet look like at ten weeks? Does anyone have a pic?

Whatever you do, do NOT let me confuse you!

I am really new to the wonderful world of chickens. I "thought" Prince Roo was a Leghorn, but my knowledge is VERY limited!

My boy or Moms boy???

My "boy" is with a girl who apparently is pretty clear that he's a boy and wants chicks NOW! He doesn't appear to know what he's supposed to do about it, so she's getting pretty rough with him! She's a month older and well... you know about those "older" women. LOL!

I'd say hen if it's a Leghorn. My Leghorn roos had more developed combs that
your bird by 6 weeks and most tried crowing by 8.

That bird's leg size, posture, and girth make me think it's a cross of some sort.

Looks like long saddle feathers & pointed hackle feathers to me. That along with the comb development suggests it's a male.
