Please CHeck out!

Here are some new shots we took today. The wing and back feathers are really starting to look like a Mille Fleur Belgium d'Uccle, though the head and other feathering doesn't and there are hardly any boot feathers compared to the other d'Uccles we had at the same age. At this point we are thinking it could be a mix, it is very small for a d'Uccle of this age so it might turn out to be a mix of a Mille Fleur d'Uccle and a very small bantam breed. We'll see!

43 days old..

I would say you got a Millie there, possibly a mixed one tho, but I see the Mille characteristics in the feathering there and the comb is "spikey".

Doesn't it seem like they grow SO slow when you want to figure out what they are? It does for me, I have a few Bantam Cochins I'm trying to sex and they are not being cooperative.

Those wing feathers look very similar to my d'uccle/ameraucana cross hen, who is a butterscotch/gold color with muffs, beard, and very little leg feathering. So I'd say mix, too... "goldie" is a fantastic little hen.

2 months old, this chicken is extremely small, even for a Bantam. The Silkie and d'Uccle of the same age are almost twice its size!

Mille Fleur d'Uccle but with poor quality foot feathering, non-bearded and lacking the vulture hocks the breed is known for. So, she's probably a cross. Possibly a MF d'Uccle X OEGB if she's staying quite small. She'll get more color like what you see in the hackle and saddle area on her as she gets older. Each molt should bring more of the mille fleur color. That's my best guess.
