my blue Maran has what I think is an impacted crop, but it is soft to the touch and very "mushy." I thought impacted crops were hard to the touch. Is it impacted or is she just a pig? I'm leaning toward impacted because it's so huge - about softball size and it hasn't seemed to change in size in a couple of weeks. Except for this huge thing (that she's had for at least 2-3 weeks), she seems to be very healthy. Eating, drinking, shiny feathers, walking/flying, hanging out with rest of flock. Her activity has not diminished at all in the last couple of weeks. Should I separate her and try giving her mineral oil? I would have addressed this sooner; however, her behavior hasn't changed and it doesn't seem to bother her in the least, but it's just so gross looking . . .
