I thought this was kind of crazy

I went to the store last night to buy a few groceries. I went to Safeway which I think is a fairly large store chain across certain parts of the U.S. I don't usually shop there because they have outrageous prices....

They wanted $7.09 for a carton of 18 eggs!! It made my eyes do this

I asked a clerk if this was correct and he said yes.

Not a major deal but it sure makes me wish my girls would start laying soon.

Oh...I didn't buy them by the way.

Wow! I think its costco but you can get that same amount of eggs for a little over a dollar.

Holy Mother Goose!! That's insane! I rarely shop at Safeway, either for that very reason. Almost can't afford to even window shop there! I've seen many items sold at Wal Mart for as much as $3 less. Silly things like frozen chicken nuggets or fish sticks. I've seen milk at our Safeway for as much as $4.39/gallon where as it's $2.88 at Wal Mart.

Just think how much we could all make (if we don't factor in how much feed prices have risen lately) on our GOOD eggs, if more people realized the difference in quality!
