Hope
Mills is the city, but the community of Gray's Creek is my heart. It can get to 100 in the summer, some nights can be in the teens during winter. We get some snow, this year we got like 6". I don't know about taxes, but a lot lot lot of houses for like 200k, some cheaper, some more expensive.

It can be humid though

Forget Montana we only have 3 seasons.
Last winter, this winter and road construction. I'm not kidding.

Was figured in March we had 6 months with snow on the ground. It snowed again last week.
last year it snowed on june 8th.

4 seasons with mild winters? Consider any of the upper Southern states: Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina. They all have rural areas for good prices. Humidity is a bit high, but not near as brutal as the deep South.

I live in Vidor Texas...it gets pretty humid here. I would prefer West Texas. It gets very hot but it is a dry heat. You don't feel like you are smothering there.
I can never move. My rental property is here. Otherwise I might scram. Also Arkansas was awesome. I lived in Harrison Arkansas when I was a child..had all the seasons. And my mother had a lovely garden.

Western Washington. Just stay out of King County (which is directly east of Seattle and home of Microsoft) or Seattle as the cost of living there can be high. But if you go north or south of King county, you can find what you are looking for. It is BEAUTIFUL here. Close to ocean, rivers, lakes and the Mountains. Mild winters and 4 seasons. I also like Northwest Oregon, especially near the coast. Good luck!

East Tennessee! Reasonable real estate prices, four seasons, beautiful scenery... all you could ask for, really. I LOVE it here.

Until last winter, I would have suggested Nebraska. Four season's, good/great economy, affordable housing etc. But, if we have another winter like this - last one - I'M going to be relocating!

I'd look at TN or OK - happy hunting...
