Next week the people who I gave the ducklings to are coming to pick them up. I don't want to part with them, but know I can't have any more in town. The good thing is they will have a nice duck coop to sleep in and a big pond to swim in. It is still hard to let them go. One of them curls up in my hand and goes to sleep.

I had a duckling that curled up in my hand to sleep too. If I was anywhere near him, he'd crawl right up onto my lap, snuggle in my hand, and fall asleep.

I still have him right now (he's 8 weeks old and likes to nibble on people's hands

), but he's going to be picked up next weekend (along with one of his brothers) to go live at my aunt's house. I hate to see him go, but I just don't have any more room for birds!

So, I know the feeling!
