I want happy ducks but I want to be responsible... thoughts?

I have never lost a chicken to a predator ever and don’t have a cover on the run or lock them up much at night. There are introduced foxes in Australia so I have been pretty lucky so far. I feel for you guys. America and Canada sound pretty dangerous with all the animals that will not only kill chickens but humans too.

Yep here in these mountains my flock would most likely be gone in a week maybe less and I have 42 birds in all. Predators have to eat too so it’s up to us to make sure they don’t get an easy meal and stick to their normal prey.

add snakes to my woes. One killed little La Shi yesterday. It's dangerous to be my waterfowl.
