I want more! How do I integrate them?

I bought my 8 chicks from a local breeder and she has some 9-week-old Gold Laced Wyandottes from the same hatching available for $10 each. They are the exact same age as the 8 chicks I got from her as 5-day-olds.

What would I need to do to bring new chicks of the same age into the flock?

And when do I stop calling them chicks? LOL

I usually put them in together with some fencing separating them.. so they can see and hear each other.. but not fight. leave 'em for 3 or 4 days, then put them together and see how it goes... keep a close eye on them, and separate them when you can't be watching them for another few days until you've seen them getting along well. good luck!
