I want to adopt a duck and I need help

so the nice woman just called me from the HSMO. She said Kronk is very much imprinted on people. but he/she is a Pekin. Do you think that is too big for a KC? I also live in the city so I don't want to aggravate my neighbors.

She said the #4 white duck is by it self but they don't know how old, but it is a big duck.

If Kronk is too big, then I guess I will go with the 2 Indian runner mixes, Peepers and Pooder.

do you agree?

The only reason i can think of that kronk would be too large is if Kronk is a drake and would mate with your KC, do they know sex? the 2 Runner mixes would be comparable to weight when adult to your KC. of course you have idea if your KC is female or drake at this point

I don't know what Sex i have. How would I know? I don't hear quack or hiss. It still peeps like a baby chick. What else am I looking for?

Well if you go with the 2 Runner mixes they say they are female so then that wouldn't matter if your KC is drake or female if female just more eggs if drake he'll be fine with 2 females.

About the only way to tell sex at the age of your duckling would be to vent sex them, I wouldn't rec it. or DNA where you send off a feather.

We got Peepers and Kronk. One of the workers said, I am happy Kronk is getting a home. It's a nice duck. Sits on their laps during lunch breaks.

Peepers was cute. We are driving home and they are sharing a cage. So that is good. My 11 yr old is excited. He hasn't stopped talking.

Kronk is a Pekin. If not a full breed at least a mix.

Peppers mom was Pekin and the dad was a mix. Peepers looks like her dad.
