so happy you adopted! Congratulations! I think we all forget that it's not just the furry that need forever homes!!! Lesson remembered! Thanks. We are still naming. Krona is definitely getting changed. We haven't named our KC yet either. We are home now so got to go. Thanks for looking.
I hope they all get along really good. let us know how introductions go. I bet your 11 yr old is excited. We got Peepers and Kronk. One of the workers said, I am happy Kronk is getting a home. It's a nice duck. Sits on their laps during lunch breaks.
Peepers was cute. We are driving home and they are sharing a cage. So that is good. My 11 yr old is excited. He hasn't stopped talking.
I am not sure putting the new ducks with the chickens is such a good idea chickens can seriously injure a duck and they may feel defensive since the KC is their baby. plus if Junie isn't feathered in she should be where it's warmer for now. I'd keep them inside and gradually allow visitation to both parties chickens/KC and new ducklings. So Junie ( formerly Kronk), loved swimming. Couldn't get her out. She is getting along with Peepers just fine. We can tell Junie has been handled a lot and that is great. So then it's starts raining. I didn't know what to do with them. After a few minutes, I ran out them and put them in the coop. Peepers is feathered out but Junie isn't. OMG she was wet. I bet she weighed an extra pound. So I held her in a towel until she was dryer.
The chickens squawked for 10 minutes when we brought the new ducks in. But they got over it. It helps because they are same size as chickens.
The KC didn't even seem interested. It is content to hang with mamas for now.
I'm going to check on them again in a bit.
We locked them all In The coop when it rained.
Thanks for reading

Hope you find them happy and healthy this morning. We have separated based on your advice. They looked happy to have their own space.
Thank you.
