Got told they were NHRs, Isa browns, just "RSL", RIR, and "something else".
The guys at the feed store we bought them were never clear about it, so I was just wondering, what actually are they? Thanks!!

A NHR, PR, or RIR will not have white feathers. The hens with white feathering are red sexlinks (red stars, etc). The hen in the back of the first picture seems to have black in her tail and no white feathers, which makes me think she is most likely a RIR/Production red.

My RIRs look like the hen in back left of first picture, they have a few black feathers in the tail and wing. The hen with white feathers in tail and wing tips would be a red sex link. Hen in front left of pic might also be a RIR, but I don't see any black feathers on her.

They look just like my Red Stars (also known as comets, sex-link, etc)...they are a mix of breeds that has been "sex-linked" if that is a word so males are born a different color than the females. Great layers!!!
