I want to feed them Organic & Non GMO -- but the price is just too high!

Yeah. Most people with any sense find it less healthy to ingest food containing pesticides and herbicides.

What does that have to do with this? Organic uses both insecticides and herbicides.

Here's the USDA organic allowed pesticide list:
http://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-id...rgn=div6&view=text&node=7:3.1.1.9.32.7&idno=7

I'm just posting the link because the list is dozens of pages long.

This conversation would be a lot more pleasant if you'd cease insulting everyone who disagrees with you.

Thank God we have private organizations with certifications of a much higher standard Like Oregon Tilth, rather than reliance upon the corrupt USDA. I'll stick to independent research free of government entanglements.

another problem with ge is the corruption and contamination of other plants thru pollen drift.. my right to choose is denied when gmo crops are contaminating others and making an old and indigenous crop like corn extinct. monocultures never last very long and do not exist in nature .its very hard to find pure organic corn any more. i am proud of the judge in mexico who is not allowing gmo corn into the country until it can be proven safe and not a threat to their many indigenous species. most people do not realize the importance of variety and how consolidated everything has become in the last 10 to 25 years.

its not a black and white you can have gmo and i can have organic. ground water is being poisoned as well from runoff. this effects everyone. choice is an essential part of freedom. when i am not allowed to choose and i am denied clean air and water there is lawful and legal standing to deny these companies which have no rights, the ability to destroy mine. its too bad most people do not realize the constitutions, both state and federal, prohibit poisoning the land and water and air. if enough of us remind our public servants of their violation of their oaths by aiding and abetting unlawful actions, everyone's quality of life would improve.

seminole wind, any brand is gmo if it does not state certified organic. corn soy cotton are mainly gm. and laden with large amounts of pesticide and herbicide residues. for more info you can check out ewg the environmental working group which does a lot of testing of products such as cosmetics, shampoos, suntan lotions, etc.they also do testing on seafood and mercury amounts as well as their annual dirty dozen and clean fifteen which relates to the amounts of residues found on various crops both fruit and vegetables. they are a great resource of vital information so we can make informed choices. you can also learn alot from the group organic consumers which have lots of info and opportunities to take action.

there are many states with this issue of labeling gmo's pending on ballots. the gma the grocery manufacturers association is against labeling and several pseudo organic companies such as kashi and others as well. most people want everything labeled so people know what is gm and what isnt. we have the right to know and even in china and most other countries their foods are labeled.

Only plant and animal matter can be labeled organic. When the introduction of rock minerals enter ingredients, at least in fertilizers and some other agricultural products, they cannot be labeled organic. The same can be said for livestock feeds. So, yes, just because GMO Free is on the label, that does not mean certified organic (according to uncoordinated authorities), and what the USDA defines as a standard of "organic" is not consistent with what private industry organizations like Oregon Tilth certify as organic. Confusion by design perhaps, and like most important matters which effect society, very politicized due to lobbyists and their dealings in Washington's District of Criminals.

This is not true.

Read the USDA's actual list:

Here's the USDA list of things that don't have to be organic, can be put in food, and still have that food be labeled organic:
