I want to hatch 2 guinea fowl, how many eggs should i order?

Also, as an afterthought:

Mine were still juveniles when the remaining keet flew away ... a lot of the people who have videos of their tame keets seem to have quite a few of them in various age groups. (Possibly breeders, or just guinea affecionados??) Anyway, I wonder if it gets easier to tame them down the line? Perhaps a four-year-old guinea might be settled down enough to be tame, then their offspring would see mom or dad being tame and follow suit? Just a thought.

Very good point.
Similar to how a cockerel can get alittle aggressive because of his hormones and chills out after hes gone through puberty.
Maybe Guinea's become less wild when they hit adult hood.
Well if i ever figure out some "taming tips" i will let you know.

I think this plays a big part in it. If the parents aren't scared of you, it's less likely that the offspring will be. I've seen this with the one lot of chicks I've got that were raised by my broody. She's friendly, and I've thrown them a lot of treats, and I notice now that the chicks (12 weeks) are a LOT friendlier round me than other 12 week old chicks that I've actually raised by hand and handled loads. These chicks don't like being picked up, but they're half Leghorn so I kind of expected that. They come running when they see me though, and run all in round my feet and shout to be fed. That's tame enough for me really.

I've been working with our herd of beef cows and calves for three and a half years now, hanging out with and hand feeding the older ones and pail feeding the calves that aren't from our own cows. Year by year, everybody is that little bit calmer around me. And now the first lot of pail fed and carefully tamed calves are having their own calves, they're so much easier to handle than the little ones from the older wilder cows. It's a long term experiment, but I'm hoping that as the older and wilder cows go and the tamer ones move up the herd hierarchy, that the tameness will just pass on naturally without me having to spend so much time around them all. So far it seems to be working...
