OK this really stinks. Our broody hen and eggs are on about day 9-16 today(the older ones are at 16 and younger ones are around day 9 or older). I just figured out that most of the eggs are going to be hatching next week and the week after! And I'm going to be in school, at my mom's house. While the eggs are at my dad's house!
Some may match during a weekend while we are there, but I really wanted to see them hatch and be there just in case anything goes wrong. Such as if the broody hen gets off the nest to take care of her already hatched chicks, who's going to take the eggs and put them in the bator, and then return the chicks to her at night??? My dad doesn't really know much about taking care of baby chicks and about how to run the incubator. And I really want to see them hatch.
