I'm sure most people buying chickens for eggs would like
A standard size egg
Stay far far away from hatcheries of any sort if you are looking to get quality stock. It would take years if not decades to try and fix all the problems they have with their stock (learned this the hard way also). Hatchery birds make great pets etc but they really don't compare to breeder birds.Okie I have had my eye on them for a while but I also wanted alot of other breeds, and eventually i decided to pick one and perfect that because trying to make quality breeding lines in five different breeds i know nothing about may get a little hectic. I most likely will not be purchasing them until next spring but i want to learn as much as I can about ths wonderful breed..
Do you know any good hatcheries ... we tried murray mcmurray but we were not impressed..
Thanks again
I am trying to convince my dad to start a breeding program but he says we have to many chickens! There are never TOO many chickens!
