i want to tame my rooster but how?

my rooster is so un friendly. i want to tame him to where he will let me walk right up to him and pick him up. is there anway that u can pet them or anything special i can to for him?

how old is he? If you really love your rooster, you won't tame him... You want to be able to admire him from afar.. He needs to see you as flock leader, the head rooster. He should move away from you when you come near.. Its a respect / pecking order thing You should always be at the top of the order!

I agree. When I need to pick up my rooster for health checks, etc., I do so after he's gone to roost at night. He still doesn't like it, but he stays quiet in my arms.​
