I want to vaccinate my chickens and two goslings

Due to a rescent respiratory disease that has hit at least two of my birds, killing one and the other getting better. I want to get my flock vaccinated for, well just about anything and everything. Problem, is there is only one really vet here that has anything to do with farm animals, and after I saw what he did to a couple of goats we were taking care of, I dont care to ever use him again.
I was wondering if you guys can inform me, on what they may need, and what it does.That way I will have some knowledge if I have to go to this quack and get the vaccines from him. Please and thank you

So I am confused the Marek Vaccine is given but it neither 'prevent the birds from becoming infected with and shedding the Marek's virus.' Whats the point of giving them it then?
