I too was the goodie two shoes until I hit 20, then all bets were off
Sex, Drugs, RocknRoll--I was there!
Alcohol--How much can I drink?

My son and I are very much alike...too much sometimes...

We've always been close, but since he's become a teenager, I wanna strangle the brat!

He's always been a thoughtful kind child, but now he's going through the I hate everything and everyone phase and dressing all in black ( I did it too), doing lousy in school, and thinks about girls all the time...

He's fourteen, lucky if he makes 15...

So, dearest Okiechick, it's not just you...it's just the kids being kids...we love them, but wanna kill them most times...I've even mentioned to DH that we can return Mike to the space aliens he came from and get more chickens because they're less trouble and he's starting to agree.

Nothing wrong with black, Okiechick. I am not like my parents. They want everything perfect. My grades...forget it. I am doing terrible in school, but my friends rock and that's all that matters. If I'm not on the bus, I get calls all day asking where I've been. My parents are...them. Better watch it cause my mom looks on here sometimes.

Okiechick, your kids are not going "your" way. They are going their own way. You can only teach them and show them (and I bet you never showed them your youth only the adult you) and nurture them. Then they make their own roads and while the road looks like yours, it is uniquely theirs....look at you now. Just continue to be your loving nurturing self and they will turn around like you did.

I totally agree with all the great support you have here Kathleen....and I am really hoping that your remark about Heaven looking better everyday is not a hopeful one that you will see it sooner than you should. It's easy to be depressed over life circumstances, we've all been there at one time or another, but you are lucky...just look at the support you have here...don't forget that and don't do anything to make us miss you the rest of our lives.....

Oh dear no....I have been there in the past girl.......a couple of times....and had others try and do me in so to speak

but never again.......My God is an awesome God....... He and HE alone will take me home girl......... thank you though.......for every kind word you all !
