Yes this has happened before. I had a restraining order. It wasn't enforced so he ended up right back here. I'll try to file for another one tomorrow.

It would be a REALLY good idea to find someone for your child to talk to! Kids that age get really confused/upset by things like that, and it can cause some big time problems... from emotional to behavioral! They just don't understand, and it can be really hard for them to express and process what they are feeling!

oh Sonia that's terrible! Are you safe now? Is he locked up for the night?
I just don't understand about how they handle vpo's/restraining orders. They take so much to get them; you have to jump through so many hoops, and then when you finally get one, law enforcement and the courts don't follow through and take them seriously enough. I really hope and pray that you and your son is protected! I have been in an abusive relationship, and I know how weary you become always having to watch your back once you leave. That is until they find another victim. I pray that you have peace and hope.

Sonia - What State ? We have a victim of Violent Crime group here in Ohio lots of help --- My daughter went after she was robbed at work it did help --

yeah I'd really get a temparary thyripist for your child...I'm 16 and I've witnessed worse and it messed me up alot when I was small...

I am almost 43

and I still carry the memories of waking up to the sounds of my father beating my mother. It's a horrible, horrible thing to happen for you and your child. Please seek help and protection. Unless he receives intensive, long term treatment, he will never change.

Oh Sonia, PLEASE make sure they lock him up for as long as they can. How awful... I wish there was something else I could say. Your poor son; I agree it would probably be wise to seek some counseling for him, to help him work through what he saw.
