I lured the chicks back to the coop and have had two nights no losses! Plus, the coon tried to dig in last night and was stopped by my triple-layer brick, wire, stone barracade. It pulled some of the brick out, hit the wire held down by massive stones and turned back. I guess when the meal isn't easy, they look elsewhere.

I know that the pred battle is endless and uphill, I just feel good that I still have a 5-member flock and some evidence that my coop fortification actually works!

Keeping predators at bay is a constant vigil and your coop set up is only as strong as its weakest point. It sounds like you are doing a great job with all the reinforcements. Keep up the good work and best of luck!
