got to make this quick im falling asleep at the computer, been working at the fair all day but my bantam mix breed hen won champion at the show who i rescued from my school and my standard langshan hen won reserve champion and i got a lot of firsts with my other birds.

I'm soooo new to all this, and don't have any show aspirations, but I was wondering what kind of championship you win with a mixed breed chicken? I guess I'm used to hearing about dog shows where the animals are all "pure." I'd love to know more about chicken shows!

Do you have any pictures of your champs??

Congrats on your wins. Be sure to post pics with their ribbons. Fair season will start here soon and I always look forward to that. Our local fair has alot of poultry entries. Last year I saw my first Yokohama roo and he was beautiful. Freebie's daughter is in 4-H and we wish she would show some of our birds, but she won't. She doesn't care to show chickens. Oh well we have all year to try and persaude her to do it next summer.
