So a few weeks back there was a thread about Medical Transcription and it got me to thinking about getting a certificate and trying to get a job from home. Things are tight here as I'm sure they are with everybody. Anyway, I did some research and talked to my hubby about it and we decided we just couldn't afford it right now. Soooo...in my obsessive searching for funding I came across Project Working Mom. They have an essay contest for scholarships to selected schools for certain degrees and such. I took about 5 minutes typing up an essay and Lo and Behold I WON!
Now I've got a 100% paid scholarship for Medical Transcription school. Even if I'm not lucky enough to find a job from home, I've still got a skill and I'm not out any money. I'm so proud of myself, I never win anything!
