They must be interesting looking chicks with all that heritage! Might want to bring them to the Iowa City show if you can. Probably could find someone interested there.Lovemychix:Great news, Mrs. C laid her first egg yesterday. So did Sparkle! As I wrote in another post, it was an "eggstravaganza" at our house yesterday. They both laid at the same time too, which is about now. I better get their little boxes ready in case they are planning to have a go at it again. It was about this time yesterday when they both laid. Had to show you a pic of the three eggs. I needed a regular egg for comparison, oh well.

Webster City here. 60 coturnix quail, 15 georgia giant bobwhites, 5 supposedly GGBW's that were smaller than the northern BW's that the coons and possums killed.

Hi Mobe;
Glad you are on board. If you are from Webster City, would it be too long of a drive for you to attend the show in Hutchinson, MN tomorrow? It promises to be a vey large show with hopefully some sellers outside with some interesting birds. They are cooping tonight and judging at 9:00 am tom. It runs till Sunday I think.

Hi All;Back from the show and I am sorry to say I took no pictures. Every time I wanted to take a pic, someone was in it, and I feel uncomfortable doing that.A nice breeder in MN, took all 5 of my Dom's so I can buy some more feed now!

Below, is a picture of a Verwork, pullet. Not too common. Her color is buckskin, with black tail and hackles. She is shy, but will sit on my arm and talk a little.
