Looks like we only got 2 Orloffs to hatch :\\ the one in the small egg, we opened it because from what we could see through the egg it wasn't breathing. We opened it up and it looks like it suffocated. So, out of 5 eggs 2 chicks. Better than none!
First one that hatched. This one was from the oldest egg

I will post pics of the other chick and them two together a bit more dried off later.

. Starting to get pretty sick of it too, no pun intended. Between the my back, (I tore some ligaments) and getting the flu again I feel like someone put me in a gunny sack and beat me with a broom stick!

Had an interesting experience over the weekend... my brother was here from CA, was back visiting. I haven't seen him since 2001. All my brothers and sisters were here with a surprise visit from my oldest brother. It was the first time in almost 40 years all of us have been together in one place. Not because anyone was angry with the other, we are just all separated by space and time. I am glad my mom got to see all her kids again in one place. With grandkids and great grandkids, we had 32 people here for dinner! Glad we have a big house.....

Tira, if I'd been better, I would have helped you with the Orloffs. They are big chicks (you can tell by looking at their feet) and it's hard for them to turn around in the shell. You have to open the big end up so they can get air and continue to use up the yolk sac.

Troy, will send an email to my friend about the cornish today.....

Last day of school today before the Christmas break. Kids are gonna be wound up!

What an amazing weekend you had, Eric!!!!! Sounds like a blast.

Steph, I feel your pain. My husband has 3 day weekends. Glad I have 2 barns to hide in. LOL.

Well, Jerrit cracked the buttercup egg and the other orloff one...they were already starting to rot. :\\ At least we have the two chicks. One is a light color and one is darker.
