If you look on Craigs List there are a couple of posts in the Waterloo section under Farm and Garden from people that have a list of birds they are bringing to Waverly

I have a pair of std salmon faverolles
2 speckled sussex pullets about 6 mos old they are laying
and we have some buff chantecler/ Jersey giant mixes they are big birds, very pretty will get some pics of them

May be able to deliever to waverly this wknd if someone wants em not going to sell there since I would have to drive to mason pick up a bunch of birds then to waverly. Otherwise can pick up in mason city

If you do end up stopping by Waverly, I'll let you know if my friends show up there with their Flemish Giants. I'm going to be with Liz and Dusty Rawson. We'll have a black truck and a blue gooseneck stock trailer. We'll be selling lots of Royal Palm Turkeys and Muscovey and Pekin ducks.

thanks all for the info. i'm trying to figure how many cages and how much cash i need to bring without giving my hubby a heartattack.
I do have to say I LOVE 4-h. great reason to buy new chickens.

Sammileah - where is it you are at again? I'm sure you have said and I just don't remember.

And who is it that lives in Des Moines with me? Off Merle Hay Rd? I met someone that knows you yesterday.

I can't seem to keep people straight with their online names unless I have met them in person before

Sammileah, I'll have Buckeyes, SLW and GLW in the Spring of 2011. I'm not currently breeding them at the present. They are free ranging with other breeds right now. I'll have chicks in the Spring.

The hatch Sunday is Cochins, Wellies and some BR's *I'm keeping the BR's, sorry.*

Those chicks are $3 each. We'll see if any hatch early before the swap.

Welcome to BYC!
Are your Dellies LF or bantam?
It would be fun to hear some stories about your Dellies, a breed I have recently become interested in.

My delawares are LF, I aquired the eggs as part of the "crazy egg train" this spring. They came from zephyrcreek....fellow BYCer. I believe her birds are heritage. All that said, I have 3, one is a roo for sure. Still trying to make up my mind on the other two....maybe wishful thinking. They do not have nearly as big a comb or wattles, however they are almost as big and they have some barred feathering on their tails. I think I will hang on to them tell I'm sure.
