I know - I wish I could have turkeys. Need a farm, need a farm...

ETA: Cute pictures of the goats BTW - I have goat envy! So how do you train them to give chicken rides?

I had a dream last night that I had a ton of dogs (mostly puppies) and all the neighbors were trying to get pictures of them to turn me in to animal control. ARGGGG!

I also had all kinds of other animals. This is why I need a farm. I keep looking at horses on craigslist and am starting to look around for where I can take lessons. My other thought is to get minis and a cart. Mike said last night he was going to buy a lamb at the next auction, grow it out and slaughter it. I asked him where he would keep it (totally illegal in DSM) and he said he would put it out back in the fence and tell the neighbors it was a dog. (Our bichon looks like a small lamb)

A guy in AZ sent me pics of his two mini donkeys and they were cute. He made a manger for them. He called them his "sweet asses". They were harness broke and pulled a cart.

you start with a really mellow hen that like to sit on ppl or goats. then you need a goat how could care less as long as you feed her. she actually walked serval feet like that. my hubby thought it was to boring so tried the black and white pygmy well they the hen didn't last 8 seconds but slip off in the hay pile so she didn't care. It was really hard for my hubby to not have a good time with all the critters he doesn't like.

whole house has stomach flu me of course have it the worst.

I want a bigger place too we only have a 1/4 acre and use of an acre next to us but i'd like a spring pig.

i'm off to bed i'll disinfect the post now.

That is how big our property is - about 1/4 acre. But it is in the city or we would have a goat by now.

Thanks for disinfecting your post - I had the flu once this decade and that was enough. Get well soon!

BTW - my hubby is going to go to North Carolina at the end of February - everyone wish a blizzard on him! He won't stop rubbing it in!

The buttercups gave us an egg last night and today, I don't know how but a Ia blue managed to get out of their pen, I caught her and put her back in...and like the second she hit the ground the roo was grabbing at her neck feathers..looked like he was trying to mate her already!

Had another inquiry, via postcard, for bantam Buttercup eggs or chicks. He lives in MN and comes to Okobji to visit his brother. I think I am going to have to go to SD and get a trio again to supply folks needs. They should be getting close to POL, so it's possible he could be uh... ready?
