IA (incubators anonymous) September Hatches?

Pics
I always feel the same! Now that I only have banty roos and some of my hens are full size I know my next hatch will have a lot of clears lol but it's set up and Im collecting for Tuesday/Monday night. So I'll be in this thread a lot
That throws yet another variable into the already tricky incubating methods and which variables to tweak, lol. Good luck and keep us posted! Day 7 for my batch is tomorrow, so I will check them when I get home from work and post the results! I may weigh them, too, to compare to their original weights.

Since I know you guys won't judge me...I have 3 incubators going...My quail eggs came a month early. :thNot sure what happened there? She sent 15 extra eggs...They are gorgeous little Coturnix eggs. The Marans eggs came today. I pulled 8 bantam and 4 large fowl Ameraucana eggs that were still clear @ Day 5 1/2. I added some 55 Flowery Hen & Bielefelder eggs for a friend. There were two spots left so I put in a couple more of my barnyard mixes. I had to use the Hovabator 1602 that I hate for the quail. I can't keep the temp stable in that darn thing. I didn't want to waste those pretty little eggs though. :fl Hopefully I can figure it out.

Days 19 & 16. I went ahead and added just 2 or 3 tbs of hotwater to the dish in there I normally drop my sponge in. It's early so not much happening. One of my known farm mixes who usually hatch early did a shake or two yesterday so standing by to drop the sponge if I hear any action. Gotta try to keep busy lol

My AC went out on Tuesday, so my incubator's temp has been very inconsistent. It was reading 101.6F when I got home from work yesterday. The blower motor was bad and the replacement didn't get shipped on Wednesday. Then yesterday it was storming again, so he couldn't replace it (too much lightning in the area). Hopefully today :fl
Not holding my breath on this set of eggs now, though!
 :rant:hit:duc:mad:

@KikiLeigh02 it looks like we have the same external hygrometer/thermometer backup! (Pic 2, the sensors are the same as mine.)

Thank you! I'm in love with those little quail eggs. They are so pretty!
Wow @KikiLeigh02 !!! Im so excited to see them all hatch!! I'll do a little feathery luck jig for your quail ❤
Oh my goodness! Those little embryos are pretty resilient. Hopefully it didn't effect them at all! :fl If the fan was out 101.6 isn't too bad! For still air I think the recommended temp is around 101-102. So maybe a blessing in disguise?
I was shocked how accurate the temperature is, I ordered three to be safe if one was way off. 2 were off by 0.1 degree and the other was off by 0.2 degrees.
