:fl Good luck!!! My little Bielefelder cockerel is the only one I actually like. He's so much more mellow than the others, he stays out of my way and I don't bother him. He also taught the other chicks how to roost at 2.5-3 weeks. Smart bird.
It does look like a pair.
I'm hoping for at least 7 with a split favoring pullets. That will get me up to 8 Bielefelder hens. And I'm thinking I will keep a roo from this hatch as well. :fl
 
That's really interesting! My shipped eggs started hatching almost a full day before my barnyard mix eggs externally pipped. When I candled the shipped eggs they always looked further along than what they should have been.
Up to 4 hatched now!
Btw, these are all hatching a little over 2 days early. And wife said niether of my backyard eggs have hatched or pipped.
