IB Peafowl...what does that mean?...

Depends on who you talk to or what source you are looking at, but India Blue peafowl (as it is seen in Delacour's pheasants of the world) or Indian Blue peafowl are both correct. Have never seen birds listed as Indigo Blue, however, there is an Indigo peafowl available from Roughwood Aviaries.

IB is an abbreviation for India blue. Just putting down IB can be really helpful when you have a bird with a long variety name like: IB charcoal pied split to blackshoulder. Sometimes you just don't want to write it all out. Sometimes you will see abbreviations like that and BS which is blackshoulder. Sometimes I get confused with it too like you wonder does SP mean silver pied or spalding pied?

Sometimes the name of the variety is not really appropriate .... for me Indigo is more than blue .... a SUPER blue !....so disappointment !
