I've had this guy for over ten years and he gets greener every year. Is he crossed with something?
You tend to see a lot of this occurring in older birds. I've also heard theories that it may be somewhat derived from hybridising with green peafowl.
some times India blue split blackshoulder males show some green on shoulders like this. I had one last year similar

I think, they are totally.... ordinary .... IB black shoulder peacocks !
Not all are peafowl !
The iridescence is stunning. I like those ducks, cayugas, right?
I have a guy trying to give me some of those ducks, They are beautiful just not sure if I want or need ducks.

If i had to keep ducks in a pen i would not have them, they are so messy geese also.
