Congratulations, mom!
I hope everyone else hatches smoothly and healthy (and soon). I also hope that truckload of ulcer meds you need arrives!

I've definitely decided that I will NEVER hatch out chicks, and I'm going to keep this thread where I can easily find it so if I ever start to waiver, I'll read this, see all the ups and downs you've gone through, and stregthen my resolve:lol: Man, a rollercoaster ride doesn't have as many ups, downs, and rollbacks as you've had.

That said -- Hooray! Yippeeee! WooHoo! CONGRATULATIONS!!

Yeah! I am so happy. I've been watching your posts and waiting with anticipation.... especially the Welsummers! Hope you have lots more chicks by the time you read this.

The membranes are opaque white and dry as cardboard. The other one that was pipped we took out and peeled back some of the shell and they were WHITE too. So we dabbed some water on. And added another sponge. Is it too late to up the humidity. Will the membranes absorb it now?

Congrats!!! I'm do happy for you. I lost one because I didn't help it when the membrane got so dry. But I saved another. I guess you just have to learn as you go. somebody in another tread said to mist them for more moisture.
