IBW take 2... Australorps!...Pip!!!

Well so far we have the first one that pipped yesterday afternoon she has a hole the size of a dime. A second one pipped and has lots of cracks in the shell, but no hole yet and a third pipped and is very steadily making progress.

BUT my computer crashed this morning and I have to go to a friends house to get online. The good news is it still had 18 days left on warranty, the bad news is it will take up to 2 weeks to get my computer back

I'll try to get online as often as possible, but it may not be very often for a week or two.

sneaking on at work... quick update

Welsummers 8 hatched 2 died. 2 are definite roos, 3 definite girls, one ?????? But one girl is very sick doing the whole walking backward, falling to one side, eyes closed very weak. Been giving her polyvisol, drops of water.. She won't eat, chirping weakly.. It's been three days, I don't know what else to do for her???

Australorps 7 hatched... All except 1 had belly button on the outside. And one had a HUGE sac of clear yellow fluid on right leg (thight area). 2 died. The one with the sac, I drained it and HE is doing very well. He stands almost completely erect and is very small but seems very healthy. He has no fuzz where the sac was but so far, no one is picking on him. All the others are all healthy and thriving now.

Anyone know how to sex Australorps???

EE, only two hatched. All the others stopped developing half way through. But the two that hatched did so and had no problems at all. They are all white. One has one small black dot on it's back and one has slight orange around neck. The one with orange is bigger and stands a little more erect..

it might be roo. But they are healthy and happy.

SOOOOOOO.... WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG????

These hatches have gone so roughly...The temps have been from 99.5-100.2. Humidity on the second two hatches in the 1588 have been right at 68%. If I was not a nurse, only three of these chicks would be alive!!!!

Please help!! We are putting Cyn's eggs and my BLRW's in hatcher tomorrow and I am SOOOO dreading going through this again!!!
