While carrying Nibbles the drake back to his freshly cleaned pen, the ice got the better of me. My left leg slipped out from under me causing me to go down hard on my right knee in typical proposing style and left me holding Nibbles out to the rooster as if saying "Take this duck as a token of my love!" None of us were very happy with the situation. Thankfully Nibbs and Peepers the roo are both fine, and not so thankfully I'm propping my leg up with ice on it.

How interesting that the cause of your problem (the ice) is also the solution. That's irony for you....

Seriously, sorry about the fall though.

That people run around in the snow and ice is proof positive of how much we love our birds.

Me, I'm in Australia, and we have had 10 days over 95 degrees. No snow here! I am going to have bigger arm muscles than my husband from hauling all this ice and water around for the chooks though!

Hope your knee gets better soon for you.

That had to hurt! Glad that your birds took it so well. Hope you're up and better very soon!
