I think my breeding goal is the same as others here. I want to have a wonderful chicken breed and hopefully share it with others in the community and be shared with

I ultimately want a little spotting in my flock not because I think it is better but I think they are very pretty.

How's the hatching going Molly? After tweaking my Brinsea cabinet (shut up Kathy)

I finally think I have it down. I locked down 29 Isbars today and had zero quitters! I candled my 6 Icelandics and another 30 Isbars I just started a week ago and only had two blood rings, none in the Icelandics. I set two more Icelandics today. Lukka stopped laying a week ago! I can't find egg stashes anywhere. I saw Isi try to mate her today and she fought him off and ran away. Doesn't she know she is the point man in my flock rebuilding? I have eight eggs incubating and that's it. I am kind of freaking out.

The Sheriff, I had two of my hens kind of do the same thing. One went on love strike and wouldn't let the rooster near her. The other hen still liked him, though. Both of them hid egg stashes. Then the one hen decided she wanted to have some babies and booted the other out of a stash so that she could sit on them. That was the only way we found her or the eggs - when she suddenly disappeared for two days and showed up again to eat, then went back to her nest. Good luck!

All the Chicks I incubated from your eggs are doing Amazing. They are growing so fast. Thanks again for such beautiful Chicken.I absolutely love each and everyone of them I feel so blessed...Also, congratulation on your Granddaughter graduating.
