Illinois had the wettest June in history and the second wettest month ever.....we need every drop of sunshine to help dry up our soggy ground.
It rained last night and is suppose to rain again this evening

we'll just have to practice our Gene Kelly impressions

Mary maybe if you bribe Kelly, she will change your cockerels back into pullets.

Today was nice and sunny and sweltering so , I spent some time in the air conditioned AMC watching and enjoying(immensely) "ANT MAN", plan to see it again this weekend.

I got a few pictures today.

The Icelandic Easter Hatchalong juvies are 4 1/2 months old.....definitely five cockerels and one pullet.

Hi, Dar!

That is a son of Audun and Cupcake (a hen that was hatched from an egg from Laurie (coldupnorth). I was going to keep him or the red cockerel but he has always been the leader of their group and he adds new genes to my flock....and he too gorgeous to let go of. I also have a few younger cockerels by Audun that may remain for a while. They are still too young to pick from but I have a favorite.

I don't have any good close-ups of Jakki, so these will have to do...

Here is the possible keeper from the younger group...

Dar I bet you would like "The old folks home," thread you don't have to be old to join. Just a great fun & chatty thread, topics change by the minute, and sometimes even are about chickens. Heck if they find out you are a dentist, they'd be posting photos of their teeth and asking for your advice. See how much fun you would have?
