I think I read where it used to mean the color of the wing bar/bow like on a duck(the blue or teal color on the wing) but has since been changed to this: Duckwing refers to the color of the secondary flight feathers when the wings are folded up they make up the wing triangle.

Examples of some duckwing colors are:
Brown Leghorn is red-duckwing aka. Black-breasted red
Silver Phoenix is silver-duckwing
Golden Duckwing is half red and half silver = golden duckwing
Crow-wing could sorta like be called = black-duckwing, I reckon
Im tired or I would do a better job of describing it you might check into the difference of duck-wing and crow-wing maybe that'll get you on track better.
