Icelandic Chickens

WEll did some checking this morning and sure enough this one is a male who apparently is taking his time makeing the manly transition!lol

So that takes care of my backup roo problem! Its funny both my single comb ones are speckeled. I am combating an eye problem with the hen. She has a lot of drainage in it. I have been flushing it with tea bags and keeping it wiped clean around it. Also put her on terimyacin in her water.

Jake, These pics are for you! Here is Bjorn, I posted some pics of his feathered shanks when he was younger and these were taken yesterday. He has very small feathers on the outer side of both legs. None of my other Icelandics have had this much feathering. I hope you'll be able to add some like him to your flock next year.
