I was wondering about that myself when you said she was solid black.

She had some copper in her when she was younger, but it all molted out and she is solid black. She was black as a chick. I have 2 chicks that are a couple months old, and they are solid black with not even a hint of the coppering.

I will check her over real well tomorrow and get close up pictures of her wings and feathers. She came from the first eggs Mary ever sent out. She could be from Lukka or Henna, if I recall correctly. I believe Henna was still alive then.

No, I am making her a feature on my blog. She will be my Dollarstore Diva and get dressed up for holidays and special events. You can tell she was totally jiggy with the concept.

I incubated the only eggs I got from Henna before she died. I think I had one chick from Henna and, like her Mom, she died recently from egg yolk peritonitis after laying internally. I may have had one other chick that came from Henna's because I think there were two days I got two eggs. Other than that all my first eggs were from Lukka and her offspring until the ones from Marty started laying. They are ten months old now.
