OK, Goliath is the one at the back left corner....

He truly is the biggest chick even though the one in front looks bigger, it is really much smaller... oh, and Goliath is all ROO!

I LOVE seeing all the pictures and watching them grow and change! The chick down is never an indication of what color they will feather out to be. Many of my blonde chicks end up being blues. I just love the mystery and hate the wait.

I love blues!... and the majority of the Easter Icelandics were blondes I think... a couple blacks, a couple browns, 5 chipmunks, a black and white mottled and the rest blondes. Amazing how much they have changed in almost 2 weeks.

The rats out here must be be feeding on nuclear waste, they're so freakishly big, strong, and nasty! I finally had to build a high-security nursery for our chicks, and not only line it with hardware cloth, but put down pavers and plywood over the hardware cloth floor too, because the little monsters were grabbing them through the wire!

Concrete sounds like a very effective idea. Dig through this, you little sods!
