Icelandic Chickens

Quote:
Farmerboy, they have started to lay, I just got my third egg from them today. However I do not have them seperated yet and I know my Delaware roo has been sneaking off with one of the girls. I plan on seperating them into breeder pens in Jan or Feb if all goes as planned. I still want to be sure you get some eggs then.

Jake, I am so glad that you are posting pics of your lovely birds. They are beautiful.

Laree, I would like to say your birds are beautiful but....... well they have an inner beauty

LOL!!!

It is so redonkulously hot outside. I am inside watching Ice Road Truckers to cool down. Next up: Deadliest Catch.

Hi Sue

I 'think' that Mary said he was about the end of Jan 2011?? Mary is this right ?

RIght now he is my oldest roo and by far the best temperament. The Contessa is his constant companion, and vice versa, and Isi Isison is always close by, the three chickateers.

So it seems there is a definite continuation between Marys line and Johannas, hard to miss the similarities !!!

Thanks for the link, I can see that I am going to HAVE to go to Iceland and speak to these folks, my questions compound by the week.

Life is good and better with Icelandic Chickens and Packgoats !

Here is Brynhilder (Easter Hatch pullet(Ari/Asta or Anna (my bet of her mom)), with my daughter and granddaughter, showing how personable Icelandics can be.
