Icelandic Chickens

Wow, busy morning here!!!

Laree, Never a dull moment at your place!! I find the Icelandics tend to wander alot when young and seem to stay closer to home (nest) as they get a little older......hope the same is true for Buffy and White, and that they stay safe until then!

Hi Andy!! Good to see you back here!

Jake, You had us all wondering what possibly could have happened to you and Sergey!! Glad to see you back and great pics!! Isison is gorgeous!

Kelly, What a beautiful place the Boy Scouts chose! Kudos to you for being an involved parent!

Nah, old people don't drool - they get dry mouth from all their medications, or soooo I've been told. Plus which I don't drool over any man. I get major heart palpitations. Maybe the old pacemaker needs a new battery. LOL. Just funnin' you.

Yup, thats Sergey, all 6'3" of him !

I changed a number of things, I also tilted some of the letters on Gun Toting, Bible Huging, I was going to drop the g altogether on Hugging, may yet. Trying to get a 'red neck taste' to it seeing as I had to leave that part off.

I got an hour to get on line today, Sergey couldnt come after all the trying to, so I will try to have him fly out next year,

a few more days an will be back to normal morning cage rattling.

Re age, I am older then rain,

Isi Isison is looking great but Blau is still the handsomest one ! There are two younger roos coming on that could be clones of him, I suspect same Dad as both came from Marys June 1 hatch !

Still more days to go, and more stops to do, one in Montana and one in Boise to drop off six of the Icelandics. I stopped two extra days with my Plains Bowmaking group to see their progress, and visit with my elders and families.

Life is good and better with Icelandic Chickens and Packgoats !

I would love to give these chickens a try. I am down to 3 EE's with no rooster so the chickens would be pure (I'll eat the EE's eggs). Does anyone have any eggs for sale?

Hey Confusion

KathyinMo is your person close with eggs !!

I am on the road again, hope to be back daily soon , I am too used to daily coffee with ya'll, heading over the rockys very soon, lots of rain this week. The chickens seem to be in a January mode, not getting 24 hr light, and a darkened shelter, eggs down to maybe once or twice a week. The June hatch will be close once we are home in Wa. Just in time !

To have pics it will have to be goats:

Princess, Boer/Kiko 6 mos old
with stillettos sheathed

Danny Boy, Boer/Alpine 6 mos old
also horns sheathed, just insurance while in the trailer now

Boston tells me that that Icelandics are flying over a 10 foot fence. says he'll have to keep them enclosed for awhile.... in his big barn.

I truly miss them.... but glad they'll have the mountains to free range in.... eventually
