Icelandic Chickens

Wow! Audun and the mottled hen look identical to my pair! And Kella looks just like one of mine too except mine has a straight,floopy,crooked comb! But I guess we shouldn't be surprised when all our birds at some point are all realted and carry the same genes. I love that red and blue roo! He will be a looker when he hits maturity.
Mine seem to be very tempermental layers! I am used to first time layers starting off with a bang and hitting everyday. These lay a day or two then stop for a week or so and do it again.

All that talk of incubators makes me remember I need to come up with a cabinet type one this winter. I am so going to want to hatch every egg I get next spring!lol

One of my original hens, Asta, is as close to wheaton as I have. She could be Dreki's mom. Audun is definitely the dad. I told you I'd send you eggs for the Easter Hatch next year.........I'll try and make sure some are from Dreki!!
