I set them at 1:00 p.m. on the 17th. Congrats on the Orp laying. I'll get it all dialed in.

Get that new incubator all broke in, because my chocolate orp is laying and I need to send out some test eggs to you.

kathy that broody makes me think of Lukka ! A relative of hers?

I have 3 wheatens, but none with any blue showing, hoping though this spring.

Maybe some more from Mary !!!

I love when broodies do that! It is just so sweet. My crazy Ameraucana Raven is broody during the day and on the roost at night. What a nuisance! I have to go out constantly and take eggs from her. She should take lessons from Lukka.

Thanks Icelander!

Kathy do you think you'll break your broody record this Spring? It was 18 at one time if I recall correctly?

My Easter Hatch eggs still haven't pipped. I stuck the flashlight in the incubator and candled them and all three are moving. One is cheeping. maybe by tomorrow morning. They are small eggs, the first laid by my two pullets. Here are my Cream Legbars on the forward side of the gate and the Isbars in the back.

Here are the month olds. They just got moved to the big coop yesterday. They are under the Eco-Glow in this picture but they run around the yard like they own the place.

Here are the Isbar babies, out and about in the other yard. Opinions Kelly?

Sisters Laverne and Shirley chillin'.

Jack and Diana. Jack is worried about the whellbarrow that hasn't been there before. I could get him if he's not careful.

Lukka having her daily scrambled egg. She wolfs it down in a few seconds. She is not going to kill herself being broody on my watch!

Isi on his crowing rock. No one else is allowed up there.

Me getting some love from Chica. That is Loca in the foreground and the big boy is Stuart. Out of sight is Louis pulling my hair out from the back. Why are my mother's hands attached to my arms?

Strange as it may seem the emus have paired up. They rarely leave each others side. It is too cute!

And Stuart and Loca (Crazy + Crazy = Crazy)

Anyway just a day at the Buck ' Run Ranch with a new camera.

Wow, love Isi , what color was he as a chick? Hope your eggs all hatch!
Happy Easter everyone!

Great pics Mary, love the Emu Ranch pics ! But I just dont have room for them.

Laverne and Shirly are beautiful too. The Isbars are going to be just beautiful.

I have to be building Chicken coops and runs, hope to have 24 Icelandic hens by fall,

and some Mille Fleurs and D'anvers in big Nella Brooders, 8' ones. And maybe two other breeds,BCMs and another. So lots of building going on here this year.

I am going to Chickenstock in June, looking forward to it, I hope to have some Icelandic chicks by then, but none to trade that early.

Its going to be a busy and interesting year for sure !
