Whoopee Kathy is getting San Clemente Island goats. I just read about them from your link. Well they don't faint but, I bet they are really neat anyway. How many are you getting Kathy???

Now Mary will have to up the pot with ah ...Sanibel Island raccoons or something. This is exciting.

OK I just really have not been keeping as good an eye on things as I should have, I have been laid up with a disk problem in my back, but today my wife and I went out and cleaned the Icelandics pens and I took pics of all of them, To my surprise and with all this talk of frayed feather stuff, I have discovered that I too have a rooster that is frayed bad, I am not sure whom it came from but it was either Kathy in Mo or Notafarm Mary as these are the only two I got eggs from to start my flock, so without accusing anyone I just want to share the pics of all my Icelandics and all the pic I took of the Frayed Rooster, I myself think this could be connected in some way with the Silkie Chicken, and since these are a landrace breed I am not so sure that it could be proven, but that is my suspicion, not sure if I will cull my rooster or just keep the frayed one as a separate line. Hen that I just got check out the topknot!!
Close up!!!!

Golden Blue Cock

close up, I like his comb!

Golden Blue Hen, Mice got her tail!!!

close up, nice comb on her too!

Nice Black Breasted Red Hen, notice the Maine on her neck!!
close up doesn't really show the mane as good and her comp is not quite a pea comb, she does have nice color, Note: this is the hen in with the Frayed Rooster right now(show pics of him last)
Golden Black Breasted Rooster

close up, comb is bigger and tips not as pronounced!! This poor hen is in molt really heavy but I wanted to show her color, she is almost a match for the other BBR hen, she has a mane also but not as pronounced.
close up, you can see the mane a little better here. Now I have several pics of the Frayed Rooster, I will post them in my next posting. Lynn
